Work where the work actually matters.

We're a 22-person team running 240+ properties across South Florida. Every role on our team touches a real guest or a real owner, and every team member has real authority to solve problems — not just report them.

Why work here

Small team. Real authority. Miami Beach home base.

Most hospitality jobs are a rotating door — low pay, no training, no path. We built the opposite on purpose. Every full-time team member gets above-market pay, structured paid training, and the authority to solve problems on the spot instead of escalating them up a chain of command.

Our average tenure is 4.5 years. That's not an accident. It's the result of hiring slowly, paying properly, and letting people do their jobs.

  • Above-market pay across every role
  • Two-week paid training before first shift
  • Health insurance for full-time employees
  • Real decision authority from day one

Open roles

About the role

You'll be the person a guest reaches when something breaks at 2 AM. This is the shift every other property manager ignores, and the reason our response time stays under five minutes around the clock. You'll handle inbound guest messages, dispatch after-hours technicians, and resolve the majority of tickets on first reply without needing to escalate.

What you'll do

  • Answer guest messages across Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, SMS, and phone
  • Dispatch after-hours technicians for urgent issues (AC, plumbing, lockouts)
  • Issue refunds and credits within your authority ($200 per incident)
  • Log every ticket with timestamps and resolution notes
  • Escalate policy exceptions to the on-call shift lead

What you'll need

  • Fluent English (Spanish strongly preferred)
  • Six months or more in guest-facing hospitality or support
  • Comfort with overnight shifts and rotating weekends
  • Ability to stay calm on the phone with a frustrated guest

Compensation

$22 – $26 per hour, depending on experience, plus overnight differential ($2/hr from 10PM – 6AM). Health insurance for full-time employees. Paid two-week training.

Schedule

Four shifts per week, 8 hours each, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Rotating weekends. One full weekend off per month guaranteed.

Location

Miami Beach office, two blocks from the beach. Hybrid possible after 90 days once fully trained on all playbooks.

About the role

Roughly 11% of our guests are Brazilian or Portuguese-speaking, and that segment peaks every winter. We're adding a dedicated Portuguese-speaking agent to the afternoon overlap shift to handle this volume natively — not through translation software.

What you'll do

  • Handle guest messages in Portuguese, Spanish, and English
  • Coordinate arrivals, check-ins, and mid-stay requests
  • Work closely with the overnight desk during the handoff window
  • Log tickets with full context for the next shift
  • Support the housekeeping team with guest-facing coordination

What you'll need

  • Native or near-native Portuguese (required)
  • Fluent English (Spanish a plus)
  • Any guest-facing hospitality or support experience
  • Comfort with a fast-paced afternoon shift

Compensation

$20 – $24 per hour, depending on experience. Health insurance for full-time employees. Paid two-week training.

Schedule

Five shifts per week, 8 hours each, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Rotating weekends, one full weekend off per month.

Location

Miami Beach office, two blocks from the beach. Hybrid possible after 90 days.

About the role

You'll be the person we dispatch when an AC dies in July or a lock won't open at 2 AM. This role handles the urgent tickets that become one-star reviews if we don't fix them the same day. You'll work alongside our in-house handyman team and coordinate with vetted trade contractors for specialized work.

What you'll do

  • Handle urgent dispatch calls for AC, plumbing, electrical, and lock issues
  • Complete small repairs on the same visit (hardware, fixtures, appliances)
  • Coordinate specialized vendors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) when needed
  • Document every visit with timestamped photos and resolution notes
  • Rotate through the on-call roster for overnight emergency dispatch

What you'll need

  • Three or more years of residential maintenance experience
  • Comfort with plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry
  • Valid Florida driver's license and clean record
  • Own basic hand tools (power tools provided)

Compensation

$26 – $32 per hour, depending on experience. On-call premium additional. Company vehicle and fuel card provided after 30 days. Health insurance for full-time employees.

Schedule

Five shifts per week. On-call rotation approximately one weekend per month with emergency premium.

Location

Field role — properties across Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Surfside, Brickell, and Coral Gables. Company vehicle dispatched from our Meridian Avenue office.

About the role

You'll run bi-weekly inspections on our Signature and Elite plan properties — documenting condition, flagging maintenance issues before they become emergencies, and verifying that our housekeeping team's work meets our standards. This is a detail role, and detail is the whole point.

What you'll do

  • Complete 6 to 8 property inspections per day, bi-weekly per property
  • Photograph every room and document condition against a fixed checklist
  • Flag anything drifting toward failure — leaks, wear, appliance sounds, HVAC performance
  • Verify cleaning quality after turnover and sign off on readiness
  • Log all findings in the dashboard before the end of each day

What you'll need

  • Previous property inspection, quality control, or hospitality housekeeping experience
  • Comfort with a mobile app-based inspection workflow
  • Excellent written English for documentation notes
  • Valid Florida driver's license

Compensation

$22 – $26 per hour, depending on experience. Company vehicle and fuel card provided. Health insurance for full-time employees. No on-call or overnight shifts.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Occasional Saturday morning during peak season (compensated at overtime).

Location

Field role — properties across all our coverage areas. Dispatched from our Miami Beach office each morning.

About the role

You'll be part of the in-house team that turns over every managed property between guests, following a 42-point checklist and documenting each clean with photos before sign-off. This is not a gig — it's a W-2 role with benefits and a set schedule, working in a two-person team with a designated team lead.

What you'll do

  • Complete full turnovers between guest stays — 3 to 5 properties per day
  • Change linens, restock consumables, and sanitize all surfaces per checklist
  • Photograph each completed clean for verification
  • Flag any maintenance issues you notice during the clean
  • Work in a two-person team with a designated team lead

What you'll need

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (hotel experience a strong plus)
  • Physical ability to handle a full day of active work
  • Reliable transportation to Miami Beach by 8 AM
  • Attention to detail — the checklist is not optional

Compensation

$18 – $22 per hour, depending on experience. Health insurance for full-time employees. Paid two-week training. All supplies, uniforms, and equipment provided.

Schedule

Five shifts per week, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Rotating weekends with one full weekend off per month guaranteed.

Location

Field role — properties across Miami Beach and immediate surrounding neighborhoods. Team meets at our Meridian Avenue office each morning.

Hiring process

Four steps. Two weeks. No ghosting.

We respond to every application within five business days, and we don't keep candidates waiting weeks between stages.

  1. Step 1

    Application review

We read every application ourselves — no resume-screening software. You'll hear back within five business days either way.

  2. Step 2

    15-minute phone screen

A short call to confirm fit on schedule, experience, and location. Not a scripted interview — a real conversation.

  3. Step 3

    In-person working interview

Two to three hours with the team you'd join. For support roles, you'll shadow a real shift. For field roles, you'll do a real task.

  4. Step 4

    Offer & start date

Offer the same day as the working interview, or within 24 hours. Start date typically within two weeks.

What we look for

Experience matters. Attitude matters more.

We hire for judgment. You can teach someone the 42-point checklist in a week. You can't teach someone to stay calm on the phone with a guest who's been locked out for twenty minutes.

Every hiring decision we make comes down to four things. If you're strong on all four, apply even if your resume doesn't match the role exactly.

  • 01
    Ownership

You see a problem, you fix it or escalate it. You don't wait for someone else to notice. Ownership is the single biggest predictor of success here.

  • 02
    Calm under pressure

Things break at 2 AM. Guests get frustrated. Systems go down. We need people who slow down when it matters, not people who speed up.

  • 03
    Written clarity

Every ticket, every log, every handoff is written. You don't have to be a writer, but you have to be clear. The next shift depends on your notes.

  • 04
    Local roots

Every team member lives in Miami-Dade County. We're not doing this by remote. If you live here and want to work where you live, you'll fit in.

Internships & scholarships

We invest in Miami Beach students.

Two programs for Miami Beach high school and college students who want to build a career in hospitality. Both are paid, both lead to full-time offers when there's a match, and neither is a filing-and-coffee internship.

Summer internship

Hospitality Operations Intern

10 weeks, paid at $18/hour, rotating through guest support, housekeeping oversight, and property inspections. Open to rising college juniors and seniors. Applications open every March.

Annual scholarship

Coastal Haven Hospitality Scholarship

Careers FAQ

Questions we get from candidates.

Everything about hiring, schedules, pay, and what it's actually like to work here. If your question isn't here, email us.

Contact us
Are these roles W-2 or contractor?

W-2. Every operational role at Coastal Haven is a full-time employee position — housekeeping, maintenance, support, everything. We don't use gig platforms, and we don't classify core staff as independent contractors.

Do I need hospitality experience to apply?

For guest support and housekeeping, we can train the right person from scratch. For maintenance and inspector roles, we need relevant trade or inspection experience. What we can't train is judgment and calm — that has to be there already.

How flexible are the schedules really?

Shift times are fixed, but the specific days can be negotiated at hiring and again each quarter. Every team member is guaranteed one full weekend off per month. Overnight roles get an additional shift differential and a rotating roster published two weeks in advance.

Is remote work possible?

For some guest support roles, yes — after 90 days of in-office training. Field roles (maintenance, inspection, housekeeping) are inherently on-site. Leadership and revenue roles are in-office with flexibility.

What does paid training actually include?

Two weeks, paid at your full hourly rate. Week one is property tours, playbook walkthroughs, and shadowing. Week two is live shifts with real-time review of every response or task. You're not answering guests solo until week three.

How long does the hiring process take?

From application to offer is typically 10 to 14 days. Application review is within five business days, phone screen within a week, working interview scheduled within a few days of that, and offer the same day as the working interview.

Do you hire people without a college degree?

Yes. College is not a requirement for any operational role at Coastal Haven. We care about judgment, ownership, and clarity — none of which require a degree. Some leadership roles benefit from relevant experience, but we've hired team leads without one.

What are the advancement opportunities?

Every role has a documented next step with published criteria. Guest Support Agent → Senior Agent → Shift Lead → Support Manager. Housekeeping Team Member → Team Lead → Housekeeping Supervisor. We promote from within — every current team lead was hired into an entry-level role.
